It has been an extremely long time since I blogged- too busy. Since last year we've been preparing for the EVG 10th Year Anniversary which I would say was a huge success. I want to go back to the rehearsals again...

Today, we had our first meeting after a very long time. We had to brainstorm an idea for a video that represents our talents...as usual, I lacked creative juices. So all I did was to sit there and laugh at Davids randomness and 'lameness' and at Regina and Myra saying out their script from the 10th Year concert. Ms Ng also came in with the videos we did last year, only 1 video was watchable. In the end, we got something done, saved in my thumbdrive. Though few people came, and I spoke little, this GEM session was pretty enjoyable:D

5th session

I didn't attend the 4th session cause I was having a bad headache. Sad.

Anyway, the during fifth session we played Ministry of WHAT? My group, Ministry of Losers, won. Others were Ministry of spectacles, mom, random entertaiment, teen affairs. Our group members will be the same until the end of this course. My group members are Tabin, Nigel and Geraldine. We are doing a video project on Neighbors. Can't wait to start, cause' I've never tried creating a video. This session's the last one before our exams. 5 more to go(:

3rd Session

We had Maia for the first time! She talked to us about blogging. Although we think we know exactly how it works, we don't know how to do it the 'professional' way. She told us that we shouldn't put too many pictures in a row to tell what happened. Our Ice-breaker game was about food and a famous person linked to it. Miss Maz names a food and we were supposed to think of someone that trademarks that food. Siti won. Everyone competing was so 'pro', Miss Maz had to make the competition more difficult.

Number 2 (:

2nd session, with Jack and Rai too! We played the game' Questions only', a game to teach us how to answer when someone in the audience shouts out a question that makes you stuck(: Super fun. May won. She and Vanessa were really impressive, they thought super fast. 9 GEMers did their sppech on the topic 'What is my passion'. Jack and Rai then gave comments on their speeches. I learnt that when one's nervous, you tend to read about twice as fast, ending earlier than 1 min.

I can'tt wait for more...8 more sessions to go. I'm gonna learn so much from this whole thing!

First Workshop Of GEMS!

On our first workshop, I was pretty surprised at how it went. I didn't expect it to be so...interactive. I thought that it would be in some form of a lecture, in the AVA room. Turns out, we get to sit in the freezing library, very near to where the teacher/facilitator stands. Makes it so much more fun cause' that way I won't feel like I am in a classroom for remedial(:

We got to see Jack and Rai,local singers. They sang for our ice-breaker game- name the song. It's super cool to hear them live! My group won! Woots. We got a star. Now everyone wants it because the one with the most stars by the end of 10 workshops gets a prize. Who doesn't want a prize...I'm wondering.

I'm so enjoying this whole GEM thing, really thankful that I got in. I'm not wasting the chance!!!
